Welcome

The Genetic Analysis Workshops (GAWs) are a collaborative effort among genetic epidemiologists to evaluate and compare statistical genetic methods. For each GAW, topics are chosen that are relevant to current analytical problems in genetic epidemiology, and sets of real or computer-simulated data are distributed to investigators worldwide. Results of analyses are discussed and compared at meetings held in even-numbered years.

1 December

- In discussions at GAW16, it was apparent that data access had been an issue for many participants. To help address these issues in the future, we are surveying the GAW mailing list regarding their participation in GAW16, their use of the available data sets, and any issues that arose in applying for or accessing these data sets. We would like to pass along feedback and quantitative statistics on problem areas to NHLBI and dbGaP, so we are interested in hearing from both those who had problems and those for whom data access went smoothly. We are also interested in responses from people who did not participate in GAW16 to assess whether data access issues affected their decision.

We ask that you take the survey by December 19. Click Here to take survey.
